Woop woop so new journal header thing of Barkley.
I was kind of thinking about what Margo said a while ago in terms of how her characters are aspects of herself or how she wants to be, and I think that goes for a lot of people.
So I was thinking about that and about Barkley, and how she is very much both how I am and how I want to be. I haven't created an official "biography" for her or whatever, but in terms of how I've drawn her, she seems to be very free and confident and passionate and alive, which is how I wish I was more.
And on the other hand we're similar because we look very much alike, and are mischievious and stubborn and goofy and fairly androgenous and kind of weird.
I need to draw more of her too. I originally made her so that I could have one consistent thing to draw in all sorts of ways, cause quite frankly my gallery is seriously lacking in the consistence area. But anyway, I guess I'm specifically not making a biography for her so I can use her as a medium for my subconscious to manifest in how I draw her. In other words, I'm not officially defining her personality cause I want her to tell me that for herself, and hence find out more about me.
Which honestly I think is gonna be pretty fucking cool.

But yeah, I did start out with a basic idea for her image, but nothing whatsoever personality wise. And it does seem to be unfolding as I draw her more. Like.. if you look at the first drawing I did of her, it's really bland. There's pretty much nothing there.

And I do see a change in her, she's much more out-there from what I can tell now.

Heh, yes I suppose she is a bit crazier. Although maybe it's cause it's fun drawing screaming people.

And I mean that in a completely innocent way.
